![]() ![]() We don’t watch much tele worth having a 5.1 setup, so going arc with my old speakers is absolutely awesome. It’s certainly not full audiophile but it’s fixed so many of the audio ‘issues’ I had with listening to music on the arc. Sold my arc and sub, got my old Mission v63s out of the loft and bought a new gen amp. ![]() It even prompted me to completely refit my living room. For the size of the office it sits in, even this is bonkers overkill. Sound quality is great, I’ve got it connected to a pair of Dali spectre II’s and a wired compact sub. Maybe it’s my old age but it’s worked perfectly. If there is a delay I just don’t notice it, and that’s with all of the potential of input lag etc from my pc setup. Got a connect:amp gen 2 connected to my TV via an optical to rca converter. Yup, ignored most of the Sonos stupidity on this group and went for what I wanted. I’ll be buying an optical to rca converter for the Sonos amp if I was to keep itĮdit: I thought it best to also add my full Sonos setup as this may impact the support the system will have:Ĭonnect gen2 connected to turntable streaming directly to the above arc The other annoyance for me is that I could do with an optical or hdmi connect (I know the new gen has hdmi) as it’s also connected to a television for gaming. ![]() this is important to me as I do have a lot of music stored on a NAS at higher than CD quality and the speakers I purchased will certainly show the difference. What does the gen2 connect amp playback support as I’ve read a really old article it’s upto CD quality but my placeholder setup goes upto 24bit etc. I’ve finally got my hands on one, or at least it’s on its way! But now I’ve got the hifi setup with an ampster mini I have some doubts about playback quality. Over Christmas I was setting up a new small hifi for my office and wanted to get a gen2 amp, however finding one in the UK was difficult. Sorry to ask this question here, I’ve read most of Sonos material and articles I could get my hands on… ![]()
